“The systems need replacing while continuing to run at the same time”

Replacing the air conditioning systems of F-pier was the moment to preserve the overall energy concept. Ipero worked out the plans. The latest technology was used for ventilation, temperature levels were adjusted and measurement and control were standardised. The result: lower investment costs and a minimisation of failure costs.

The power plant was also adjusted. The existing thermal storage was maintained, but, instead of chillers, a system with heat pumps was installed.

Throughout the process the replacement equipment was run continuously. The design documents were created by Ipero in cooperation with Schiphol and Cofely.
